Assembling the Saferoom POD – Step by Step

Welcome to your personal saferoom.
Follow the simple steps below to assemble your Saferoom POD quickly and safely. No special tools required.

Included with your shipment, you’ll find:

  • 10 panels (pre-drilled)
  • 4 corner post
  • Hardware kit (bolts, pins, washers, nuts & wrench)
  • Deadbolt (with Keys)

 Quick Setup Overview

  1. Choose a Location
    • Install the POD on a flat surface.
  2. Attach Corner Posts
    • Bolt each corner post to the floor panel, identifying the two door posts.
  3. Install the Door Posts
    • Identify the two posts used for the door. One of the four posts has hinges for the door—place this post on your preferred side, aligning it at the back of the panel.
    • The other post, which has cut-outs and holes for locking, mounts on the same side at the front of the floor panel.
  4. Install the Roof Panel
    • Slide it into place and secure tightly at all corners.
  5. Attach Lower Panels
    • Install the lower panels before proceeding with the upper panels.
  6. Mount Door Panels
    • Hinge the steel door panels and test the locking system. Adjust tension as needed.

    • Ensure all bolts are tight.
    • Test entry/exit and practice emergency access procedures.

  • Recommended assembly requires two people.
  • Do not modify structural steel components. Securing to floor or wall is recommended.
